今日は、TESCOの加藤社長からのお誘いで、加藤さん主催の異業種交流会に参加し、テンプスタッフの篠原社長とお会いする事が出来ました。
加藤さんからは伺っていたのですが、実はテンプスタッフってオーストラリアがヒントだったのですね。
篠原さんの、テンプスタッフ創業当時のお話を聞いて、独立1年目の私としては、シンクロする部分が沢山あり、とても勇気付けられました。
そして、篠原さんのアグレッシブな発想と、始終ニコニコしている微笑ましい感じが印象的でした。
篠原さんによると、
テンプスタッフは、33年前に篠原さんがオーストラリアの会社で働いている時に、病欠した人の変わりに来るテンポラリーのスタッフがいる事に気づき、その派遣会社に問い合わせた事がヒントだったそうです。
当時、日本には派遣という制度がなく、帰国後に軽い気持ちで派遣業を初めてみたという事です。
今のテンプスタッフを知っていると考えられないのですが、はじめは六本木のアパートを借りて、昼間はベッドをカーテンで隠して、机と電話だけ置き、オフィスと自宅を兼用で始めたという事でした。
そして、軌道に乗るまでは、昼間はテンプスタッフの看板を出し、夜は英会話の看板を出して、やっていたそうです。
今日は、とても勉強になったので、
篠原さんとの会話で印象に残っていた部分を記しておきます。
・お金は辛くても、一所懸命やれば、必ず道が開ける
・死んだ気になれば、何でも出来る。 死ぬよりはマシと思えば、何でも出来る。
・マネージメントの極意とは、自分が動いていれば、必ず周りの人達が付いてくる！
・どれだけ辛くても、続けていけばなんとかなる。
・ものは考えよう。何とかなると思えば何とかなる。
・テンプスタッフは、当初女性だけの会社だったけれど、男性を入れた事で発展した。つまり、考え方の違う人をMIXした方が良い。
・ピンチはチャンス
・成功を焦らず、一歩一歩前進する事が経営の基本
そして、印象深い例え話があったので、これも紹介します。
昔、エジプトでピラミッドを造っていた頃、ほとんどの奴隷は死にそうになりながら毎日を過ごしていました。
しかし、一人だけ、生き生きと働いている人がいました。
彼は、とても輝いていて生き生きとしていました。
一人の奴隷が、彼に『何でそんなに生き生きとしていられるの？』と聞きました。
彼は『こんなに大きなピラミッドを造れるなんて最高じゃないか！』と言いました。
なるほど！
ものは考えようですよね。
話を聞きながらメモするのがやっとでしたが、勉強になりました。
そして、私みたいな若造の話も真剣にニコニコと聞いてくれた、篠原さんの大ファンになってしまいました(笑)
昨日の日記で、チームとグループについて書いたので、私が常に感じているリーダー像を書いてみようと思います。
リーダーとは、
人の上に立つ人ではなく、
沢山の人々に支えられている人物である
これも『チーム』と『グループ』同様に、『似て非なるものなり』ですね。
